You might have tried using different methods to get rid of those nasty stretch marks, but did you know, most of those home remedies do not work? Scroll through to find out why these home remedies can’t make stretch marks vanish.
Coconut oil–Applying coconut oil can moisturise and nourish the area, but there’s no way it can erase stretch marks completely. Your skin might start looking healthy, but the trace of stretch marks will always be there.
Lemon juice–Lemon juice contains citric acid which is known to have natural bleaching action. Rubbing some lemon juice on your skin can only lighten the affected area.
Vitamin E oil–Vitamin E oil is often touted to be the best remedy to lighten stretch marks. Vitamin E is an antioxidant and is known to prevent collagen damage. However, vitamin E oil can only improve the elasticity of skin and prevent stretch marks from appearing but not erase them completely.
Ghee–Like coconut oil, ghee also acts as a moisturiser and only nourished the skin. It can only improve the appearance of your skin, but it will not act like a magic portion that will make your stretch marks disappear.
Egg whites–Many people recommend using egg whites to get rid of stretch marks. It is believed that the protein in egg whites helps in healing the skin and slowly fade away the stretch marks. However, it is not true, and egg whites can only lighten the scars and make your skin look healthy.
Aloe vera gel–Aloe vera gel is known for its healing properties. It can be used to treat acne and other skin conditions. It is known to improve the elasticity of the skin. However, it cannot help you get rid of stretch marks.
